Meet WCC Board President David Austin

Meet our Board President, David Austin:

“I have served on the Westside Community Center Board of Directors since 2016, including as board president since January of 2021.

I’m proud to be part of the family of the WCC, which has been part of the Bartlesville landscape for more than 70 years.

While we have our challenges – which can sometimes be the case with nonprofit organizations – WCC has a dedicated staff and board which is focused on propelling the organization forward. The WCC is unique in that it offers programs and services to students and their families who might otherwise not be able to find them in this area.

The WCC is currently a partner agency of the Bartlesville Regional United Way, an organization for which I have served as a board member and volunteer. In addition, I am a board member for the Barry W. Lowe and Karen S. Lowe Education Foundation, and I volunteer for the City of Bartlesville and the Bartlesville Public School District (BPSD).

I have worked with ConocoPhillips for the last decade and was with the BPSD prior to that. I have a background in journalism as well. I did much of my growing up in Bartlesville, where I have lived as an adult since 1996. I have been married to my wife Summer since 1997, and we have two dogs, Iggy and Phin.”
